I am very pleased to share with you some information about our new Board of Directors for 2012 – 2013 and some of the exciting new initiatives planned for the year ahead.
Board of Directors 2012 – 2013
At the February 2nd, 2012 Annual General Meeting a new team was elected to guide the Association for the coming year. Members of the Board include some stalwarts and some new faces. The Board looks forward to further strengthening the Association during its term, as Reiki grows stronger and stronger in Barbados this year.
Monthly Schedule for 2012 and Revised Meeting Format
Last year, we made a number of changes to our meeting format in response to your requests. This year we are further “tweaking” the meeting format to make our meetings even richer, more interactive and more beneficial for members. We propose to add a brief period of sharing at the table following the opening group healing session, so that members strengthen their practice by reflecting on the experience of giving and receiving Reiki. We propose to include a 10-minute guided meditation at the close of every meeting and personal Reiki stories during our sharing session.
This flyer sets out the updated meeting format, as well as the schedule of activities for 2012. You will see what an interesting, varied and uplifting programme is planned for Reiki initiates in Barbados. We have again included “Reiki only” evenings, when the entire 2 hours will be devoted to healing, as well as some evenings that are open to non-Reiki initiates so that they may learn about Reiki.
Reconnect with Reiki
If your Reiki practice has lost its steam and you wish to reintroduce it into your life, now is a great time to do so in the company of like-minded people! Just come out to one of our meetings, held on the first Thursday of every month at the Main Guard in the Garrison at 7:00 pm. If you wish to become a financial member of the Association, the cost is only BDS$50 annually. If your membership in the Association or attendance at meetings has lapsed, we encourage you to join up and benefit from sharing Reiki.
Please contact us to let us know if you need to arrange a ride to meetings or how else we may facilitate your attendance so that we may continue to build a strong and vibrant Association. Reiki is a gentle, loving energy and now, more than ever, our Planet needs this input. Each and every one of us counts.
